Do I get contacted once I’ve placed my order regarding delivery?

All customers will be contacted by the courier before delivery is attempted, Drivers can not wait around at property’s for more than 15 minutes for extra labour if required on the day to relocate items to a safer place as they have many drops to make during their working day and these vehicles are all on a Tachograph meaning time is crucial to their day, Transport managers plan all pallet delivery’s the day before all the drivers can not exceed their working hours. Any information regarding delivery access please write this on your web order notes and note this with the haulage company when they call to arrange your delivery date.

I live in a built-up area where only bicycles fit through.

We would not be able to deliver if you only have car access to your property or no drive / safe off road place to leave. We could deliver to an address close to your address for you to receive your goods but this large vehicle access new address would need to be on our order form at point of customers order for us to accept as change on the day is not possible. If you have low-level overhead power/phone lines near your property the haulier will need to know when they call you to book in your deliver day, no parked cars blocking access to delivery with a level drive to offload onto, offload is using a large refuse bin lorry vehicle with tail lift, not crane. Domestic drives are not suited for large heavy lorries (Underground drain pipes and manhole covers will collapse under pressure) so please do not ask the drivers to park on your drive.

What happens after being contacted by the haulage company to be told the day of delivery and I decide to go out for that day….?

Now the important bit to us all !! We can not offer a morning or afternoon delivery, delivery’s are between 8am – 5.30pm on the scheduled day of delivery. All organised planned deliveries will be charged as a second delivery if not able to accept for what ever reason, delivery’s on the planned scheduled day as a second delivery service will need to be re-charged and re-booked, Our hauliers plan their delivery routes the day before delivery so sudden change can not be accepted. Please do check the order for damages any damaged items will need to be signed as “Damaged” along with the number of items damaged wrote on the driver’s paperwork. We can then claim on the haulier’s insurance for the replacements once the driver’s notes read Damaged along with the number of items damaged written on the driver’s paperwork. we can then arrange as soon as possible the replacements to be sent out. If damaged stock is not signed for we can not claim on hauliers insurance and replace free of charge.

How is my delivery offloaded onto my hard-surfaced drive?

(LARGE 18t BIN LORRY SIZE VEHICLE USING TAIL LIFT OFFLOAD NOT CRANE OFF LOAD) YOU WILL NEED A DRIVE OR SAFE LEVEL PLACE TO ACCEPT PALLET DELIVERY, IF DRIVER REPORTS NO SAFE PLACE TO LEAVE YOU WILL BE RE-CHARGED FOR A SECOND DELIVERY THIS IS VERY RARE MOST CUSTOMERS DO UNDERSTAND OUR PRODUCTS ARRIVE ON PALLETS)

Blocks Usage

Can The Decking Block be laid directly onto the soil?

Decking Blocks are to be laid on firm compacted ground followed with approximately 75mm sand cement mix under each block, dry mix not wet mix, once you have your levels all in place then very lightly wet each block with a watering can or hose pipe making sure you do not wash away the mix, also the damp ground will set the mix.

Can I use fewer Decking Blocks for my project or will my Decking boards bend when I walk on them?

Recommend laying the Decking blocks 850mm apart using 50mm wide joists, the height of the joists you choose will not alter the use of our Decking blocks, the most important measurement is the 50mm width. Your choice of Decking finished boards are 25mm 32mm 40mm. If installing the thin 25mm Decking boards you may need to add a short length of 100mm x 50mm timber screwed or nailed in the centre of your newly created 850mm grids to add support.

Can I use the standard Decking block on my office garden room project?

Our standard block is suited for large patios etc and our Heavy-duty Decking blocks are suited for garden buildings/projects with weight.
